Terms and Conditions of Sale

These Terms and Conditions of Sale (T&Cs) govern the sale of prescription eyewear, contact lenses, and optometry services provided by Espace Vision, located at Boulevard Léopold II 138B, 1080 Molenbeek-Saint-Jean, Belgium.1. Acceptance of Terms and Conditions
Any order implies unconditional acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. They prevail over any other document provided by the customer.2. Products and Services
Our services include:- Vision examinations and optometric assessments
- Sale of eyeglass frames (international and Belgian brands)
- Prescription ophthalmic lenses (single vision, progressive, photochromic, etc.)
- Contact lenses (soft, rigid, toric, multifocal)
3. Pricing and Payment
Prices are stated in euros, VAT included, and cover all costs related to the service (centering, initial adjustment). A 30% deposit is required upon ordering for custom-made glasses and contact lenses.The balance is due upon delivery or in-store pickup. Payment methods: bank cards (Bancontact, Visa, Mastercard), cash, bank transfer.
4. Right of Withdrawal and Returns
In-store purchases (face-to-face sales):In accordance with Belgian regulations, there is no legal obligation to accept returns for sales made at a physical point of sale.
However, Espace Vision offers a free 7-day return policy for non-personalized products (e.g., frames only, cases, accessories), unworn, unadjusted, and in their original packaging. Distance sales (website):
You benefit from a 7-day withdrawal period from the date of receipt, without justification.
This right does not apply to personalized products (cut lenses, prescription contact lenses, adjusted frames). Exclusions:
No returns are accepted for:
- Custom-cut ophthalmic lenses (on prescription)
- Contact lenses (medical hygiene reasons)
- Products showing signs of use, scratches, breakage, or adjustment
- Products with damaged or opened packaging (except accessories)
5. Warranty
Espace Vision does not offer a “lifetime warranty”.In accordance with Belgian law, all goods benefit from a legal conformity warranty of 2 years from the date of delivery. This warranty covers manufacturing or material defects, but excludes:
- Accidental damage (drops, crushing, immersion)
- Scratches, marks, or normal wear and tear of lenses or frames
- Damage caused by improper or intentional use
- Unauthorized modifications (repair attempts by third parties)
6. Insurance and Mutual Reimbursement
Products are not automatically insured against breakage or loss.If you subscribe to supplementary insurance (through your mutual insurer or a third party), it is your responsibility to file a claim with the insurer in case of damage.
Espace Vision can provide a supporting invoice but does not handle insurance claims.
7. Liability
Our liability is limited to the refund of the price of the defective product.We cannot be held responsible for indirect damages (loss of income, temporary visual discomfort, etc.).
8. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions are governed by Belgian law.In case of dispute, the parties will endeavor to find an amicable solution. Failing this, the courts of Brussels shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
